Brie's First Christmas

Here is Brie opening her gift of clothes. I loved them she wasn't so sure.

Here is Aunt Darcie showing off one of her gifts

Papa is wearing Grandmas hat being silly and Uncle Shane hiding from the camera

This is Brie with everything she got for Christmas

Uncle Derek you can never find him w/out a knife
Brie's first Christmas we stayed at Grandma and Papa Clarks Christmas Eve. We got up at about 7:30 am when Grandma came in our room with the video camera. Aunt Darcie organized all the gifts on the living room floor then the fun began. We started with Brielle and she liked the opening the gifts part and trying to eat the wrapping paper. But once we got to the actual present she screamed. So we all took turns letting her rip the paper off until she decided she needed a nap. Then we all helped Uncle Derek make breakfast. We had crepes, hashbrowns, eggs and ham. Then we all just lounged around watched movies and played WII.

Money Baby

She looks so guilty. I love it
We had to pull money out of our savings account to put into checking, But before we did that we wanted to take a few pictures.

Nestler Christmas

Here is Brie wanting to eat the paper

We were able to celebrate Christmas with the Nestlers from Dec 17-19. We had a lot of fun. Friday night everyone came over to our house and watched a movie, then on Sat we got up and had breakfast at our house. Then went to Pine Bowl and bowled a few games. After that we came back here to have soup and relax and watch TV. Then we had dinner at Grandpa and Grandma Nestlers house and opened gifts. Brie was more interested in the paper than the gifts but loved them.

Back To Work

I had a hard time I had to go back to work on November 29th. It was one of the hardest things I have ever had to do. I cried everyday driving to work, in fact the first day someone asked how my baby was and I bust out in tears. I have since been able to get a job from home that I will start this next week. Thank goodness for prayers.

Four Months Old

Brielle is 11.5 lbs and getting more and more active. She is cooing all the time and loves to hear her own voice. She will pull herself up w/your help to sitting then standing. She smiles all the time and we love to be around her. She had to have her first shots and did pretty well. I sent Mike in to be the one who was in the room with her, while I worked. She was feverish for the first few days but then was back to normal.

3 Months Old

Wow how time flies, My little one is now three months old. She is getting really good at holding her head up and loves to play w/her toys that hang. She now weighs 10.2 lb and is 23.5 in long and her head is 15 in. You would never know that she started out so tiny. She has really started to smile and loves to lick everything. Brie can also be entertained for hours watching our ceiling fans go around and around. Brie also loves to suck her fingers. We had a fun weekend in SLC and went to a block party w/all of the old neighbors. Then on tues we had to go back to Primary Childrens where Dr. Etheridge changed Bries medicine dose and put me on a 24 hr holter. No fun.

First Halloween

Brielles first Halloween we took her to the church to show her off then came home. On saturday we spent the day at home and carved pumpkins w/Aunt Darcie, Uncle Shane, Cindi, Jed, and Baby Carden. Brielle and Carden even held hands for the picture but Mike says no boyfriends until she is 30. It was a lot of fun.. Mike stayed u[ until 330 am carving his pumpkin.

Brielle's Blessing Day

October 24th we blessed Brielle. It was cold and rainy but the blessing was beautiful given by Mike. She is such a lucky girl, she had a ton of support and love from everyone. Later we went to our house and had a luncheon. I had her dress made from my wedding dress, which turned out beautiful. If only this girl loved to be dressed up. lol

2 Months old

Hard to believe my little one is already two months old. She weighs 8 lb 6 oz and is 20.5 in long. Brielle likes to hold her head up and nuzzle her nose in your shirt when you are holding her. She has also began to coo and smile a lot. She has found her tongue and began to pull hair. My mom tells me she is spoiled because all I want to do all day is hold my baby. She is mostly right but I don't say spoil I say she is just really loved lol. She is almost out of her newborn clothes, Darcie says "she is finally the size of a real baby". I definitely couldn't have delivered her this size yikes. I took her to church for the first time today she was really good. She was dressed in her hippie dress :)

Long QT

Yesterday was a happy but sad day. We drove down to Primary Childrens Hospital to have Brielle tested for my heart condition. Sad to say she does have my heart condition. There are  a few good things about knowing, we will know exactly what to watch for and never give her. Doctor Etheridge was awesome and she even said that she would see me at the same time she sees Brielle, she is really up on all of LQT as well. She told us that our type of LQT is the best type to have, which is somewhat reassuring. I have mixed feelings though the doctor wants to start Brielle on a Beta Blocker already, I didn't think we would start this early. Poor Brie she took after her mom.

Labor and delivery

I'm beginning this blog from when i delivered Brielle. She was born on Aug 11,2010 at 4:15 pm. Before I share any of her info I want to begin w/my labor. I went into my doctors appt just like I had been for the past 8 months. I didn't expect anything different just wanted to get in and out as fast as possible. Seems like an eternity waiting for the doctors in the waiting room. My appt was at 1:30 pm I had left work early to get there in time. I sat as usual for about 30-45 min before getting into a room, the nurse checked my weight (which any girl hates :)) and my blood pressure. Then the doctor came in and measured my abdomen and said that since I hadn't grown that I needed another ultrasound. This was about the sixth one we had done and I actually didn't mind them since I got to see my beautiful daughter every time. Although I had them make sure she was a girl every ultrasound lol. She wasn't really growing so he sent me for a stress test. The stress test she didn't fluctuate w/her heart rate enough so the doctor told me we are going to have a baby today.

So at 4:30 pm on 8/10 i walked to the labor and delivery floor in the hospital. Mike had actually left me to go to work. He just started a new job at ISU. I had to call him and tell him I was walking to the hospital. He met me 15 min later. I was placed in room 6 and the nurse told me to put the gown on and she hooked me up to all the monitors. Ironically I was having contractions 5 min apart and didn't know it. At about midnight that night the doctor placed a catheter with two balloons filled with 80ml of saline in each. Not long after I started to feel the contractions and asked for my epidural. THANK HEAVENS After 12 hrs this progressed my dilation from a one to a five. The doctor removed the catheter and went home to rest. Within three hrs i was dilated to a ten and began pushing without the doctor present.  Mike and the nurse helped me push for about 30 min and until the head was visible. The nurse told me to stop pushing and called the doctor three times  and told him to hurry over.  He arrived shortly and few pushes later she was here.

Brielle Faith Nestler born at 4:15 pm, weighed 4 lbs -11 oz, and 18 in. long. She arrived with open eyes and head full of dark hair. That's why i had all that heart burn!
