Brie found her toes and thumb

0 Lately Brie is showing us more and more of her personality. She talks and talks, she has recently found her toes and her thumb in the same week. She is also putting her lips together and motor boat sound. How could a baby be any cuter.

Funny Story

So I have been going back and forth from United Health Care and Portneuf Medical for months trying to get Brie's initial medical bill taken care of. At the beginning UHC needed add info from PMC for Brie being in the NICU, which I ended up having to call on another four times. Then I asked for itemized bills and when I discovered that Bries bill had an additional $1000.00 for an oxygen mask she never received I called the hospital and got that taken care of. All I can say to that is really make sure you keep track of your medical bills and how much you have paid. By disputing the 1000.00 UHC got confused and thought there were two bills I had to correct that as well. Each time I call PMC I get sent to a voice mail message for a Diane and every time I leave a message w/an update on the bill and tell her to call me. During this time I continue to receive bills for about 10,000.00 telling me its 30 days past due then 60 finally I get hold of UHC and get frustrated but nice with the rep and she says she will get it taken care of. She tells me it should take about 14  business days from 1/6/11 for PMC to get the check.
So I once again frustrated call Diane and leave a message thinking this time it will finally be resolved. Well on Wed I open a bill from PMC thinking finally I've done my job. To my surprise it was another 10,000.00 bill. Extremely frustrated I leave a mean message on Diane's voice mail and call the hospital again and say that I'm not talking to Diane again. She transfers me to a different advisor voice mail where I very bluntly tell him this will be the last time I call and that I better get a call back. I call my Mom that night frustrated and she said she knows someone from going to school that works in billing. She calls him on Thurs leaves a message and he returns her call. Mom is at work in a doctors office and there is a patient at her window when her friend calls her back to discuss my bill. She explains to this friend how frustrated I am w/this Diane and how she never returns my calls. Also that I have called her over 20 times. The patient at her window looks right at her and says "I'm Diane". My Mom stops doesnt know what to say and says "youre the Diane that my daughter has been calling. Why have u not called her back?, do you know she has a heart condition and youre causing more stress." After she leaves she calls me and I laugh my head off. What are the chances of that happening one in a million. So I had to document it in our blog. To end the story I did get a corrected statement in the mail three days later.

5 months old

Brie and Jaycee

Brie in her new Bumbo chair

Hard to believe Brie is already five months old. She surprises us everyday, she spent her five month birthday at home w/us and her cousin Jaycee. Jaycee is here from UT for the week and has been so much help. Brie rolled over one time but hasn't since, she coos all the time in fact its hard to get her to keep quiet. When she wakes up at night she will sit and coo until she sees one of us walk by then she starts to fuss to be picked up.  Brie has started to suck on her bottom lip almost like a binky and has found her thumb. We bought her a Bumbo chair to help her sit up and she loves to sit in it. Brie has found her toes and loves to pull them when changing her diaper. She has said Maaa maaa which i count as her first words Mike disagrees. She has also found her ear which I thought was an ear infection and wasn't. She loves teethers and to suck on her fingers. Which can only mean one thing TEETH. She sleeps really good at night in about 6 hr stretches which has been really nice. She also has begun to laugh at us when we do silly things. She is getting really good at grabbing your face and pulling. She is finally into 3-6 mos clothes, and weighed 12.2 lbs.

Brielle rolled over

Brie rolled over last night for the first time at about 8 pm. She rolled from tummy to back, she has been moving herself in circles the last week and acting like she wanted to roll over but just wasn't daring enough. Then here comes Grandma she lays Brie on her tummy and there you have it rolls over like a champ. She hasn't done it since but im hoping soon. She also is grabbing her toes a lot and is starting to use her hands to grab your face and toys. She does however have some serious GirlTude as its called in our house. When she doesnt get what she wants she throws a huge fit. Goodness am I in trouble. She is however sleeping almost through the night so I just count my blessings.

New Years

We have had quite the year and hope everyone else has as good of one as us. We were blessed with a great pregnancy and a beautiful little girl who brings smiles to our faces every day. We were also able to finish our basement before Brie was born. Mike and My mom graduated from college. This New Years was pretty laid back we just stayed at home and rang in the New Year watching TV. We gave Brie for the first time some baby cereal because she hasn't been sleeping very well. She looked at us like "what are you putting in my mouth?" She ended up sucking it down and slept for six hours yeah.

Family Pictures

We took Family Pictures on 12/10 Brie did pretty good except that she was hungry.

Brie Being Funny

Brie is showing us everyday more and more personality. She is getting really good at pulling herself up and trying to roll over. She has recently found her tongue big time and every time you look at her she has got it sticking out. She will keep us on our toes.
