Im behind and needing to update our blog. Brie is now 10 mos and on  June 14th she actually crawled for the first time on our Lake Powell vacation. Since then she is unstoppable, and she loves to pull herself up on everything. She is really good at saying mama, dada, nana and recently papa. She has become quite the mamas girl and will cry if anyone tries to take her, she squeezes really tight now to give loves which we really like. She was my little bum scooter for a long time and still does it sometimes. She will also give kisses and has recently learned to wave bye bye, but she turns her hand towards her and waves. We just smile and call it the pricess wave. She has learned to shake her head no and has learned to spit her baby food back at us.  She clicks her tongue and knows if she throws her binky at night it makes her cry louder and we usually have to come in and get the binky. She eats about 4 bottles of baby food a day and some rice cereal at night, still loves her fruits over veggies but is getting better. She still fits in 6 mo onsies and is slowly moving to nine months clothes. Everyone tells her how beautiful her eyes are everywhere we go and she just smiles.

Lake Powell trip

We started out on Sat June 11th driving towards lake powell, we left at about 10 30 am we drove and had to make a few stops but Brie did pretty good. We went to Becky and Dale Roberts cabin outside of Salina UT which was fun but Mike and I had packed an overnight bag for the cabin and of course we forgot it at home. We drove around for hours looking for there cabin though with no cell reception and about the time we were going to give up and go to find a hotel Dale showed up in his suburban. OH Well we had to make due. We had breakfast and started on our way another 4 hr drive. We got to Wahweep Marina where it was in the 90s outside and of course mike and I had pants on. We walked around for a while then decided to find the house boat. Loaded our stuff in the rolling carts and started down this steep hill. We took turns holding Brie and pushing a cart. We found our boat and went in to meet some of the other people and put our stuff in our cubby. Then we decided to take the carts up the hill and get some dinner. Mike was funny he wanted to push Brie and Mom in the cart up the hill Brie smiled. Then we had dinner at the restaurant and it was really good. Darc and Shane had pizza, Mike and I had a hamburger and yummy cheese fries and Mom and Dad had burger and fries.
We went back to the house boat to visit a little then went to bed. We slept in an area where we shared w/Shane and Darc and Mom and Dad were up the stairs. the first night was good we had fans in the room and they turned on AC. Then we were traveling on the house boat 3.5 hrs to a cove we would be stayin at for the week. We got to the cove and it was beautiful, docked the boat and started our adventure. We jumped in the water to cool off which wasn't too bad it was a little cold at first. Brie loved it we would put her in her lifejacket and sit on our float chairs and she would sleep for an hr. We played water volleyball, went down the slide and played it was nice. No cell reception so nobody could bother us.
There was a few days though that the jet boats had to go back to the marina to move cars that were parked below due to the water levels were so high it was comin up on shore. In fact one of the people with us had to pay 212$ to get his car from the tow shop. Unfortunately that had to happen twice during the week and both times the jet boat had problems. One day w/mom and dad the owner forgot to put oil in the gas and they stopped sitting like ducks and the next morning when Mike went the electrical got fried and had to be towed back to the house boat. We also had to sleep below where we did have the smell of sewage and it was really hot. But we had a blast and it will definetly go in the books.
On our way home we had a 8 hr drive back and I wasn't sure how long Brie would last we packed our stuff up off the boat helped clean and showered at the dock before we left. Then on the way home we stopped off at     cave where we say all kinds of rocks under a black light and in this old dance hall and bar it was really fun and nice to cool off. Then got back on the road and decided to get a hotel in Filmore Ut. Got up had breakfast and started on the road again it was really rainy and a few times I didn't know how Mike was driving luckily Brie slept. We hydroplaned and there was one time a car changed lanes and totally covered our car in water to the point you couldn't see. We got to Mom and Dads house and ate some dinner and came home.
