Brie is 13 mos and showing more personality everyday. She gets up at about 9 to 10 am eats some breakfast and plays. She is so good at walking now and loves to climb on everything. I'm pretty lucky she doesn't touch my pictures etc. She takes two naps a day and is a really happy baby. She goes a hundred miles an hour and loves to laugh. In fact when you chase her she lays down and laughs, she is really good and will play in her crib in the morning.when she goes to sleep she pulls my hand on her chest and pats herself til she falls to sleep, and plays with my fingernails. She has started to say hi and wave fast. She is very independent and doesn't want anymore baby food. She goes to sleep at about 10 pm.she is finally in some 12 mos clothes.

On Monday Brie had her first blood draw. Mike and I had dentist appointments, so while Mikes teeth were being cleaned Brie and I walked next door to visit Nana at work. then we switched and while I was getting my teeth cleaned I convinced Mike to take Brie to get her blood drawn. Daddy would be better at that then mommy, off they went. I kept my phone close just in case, I knew I was more worried than them. We are doing a genetic test to be 100 percent sure Brie has LQT, and University of Rochester is willing to do it for us free. Which saves us thousands of dollars and health insurance doesn't pay any. Mike came back and said Brie didn't even cry, Mike said she just watched the blood go in the tubes. The nurse got her in one stick and she never bruised. She is smiling even after such a brave girl.

I swear we have celebrated Brie's birthday for weeks but here goes. We want to first thank everyone who came to the zoo and the party we appreciated everything and love everyone. Especially Aunt Linda and Uncle Bob who let us have the party at there house and got brie her very own yummy bavarian cream chocolate cake. Also want to thank little Adam for sharing his pirate party w/Brie too. Nana, Papa, Mike and I got stuck on the interstate coming to Salt Lake friday night due to a propane tank rolling over and after about two hrs we used the emergency turn around and went the back roads. We slept at The Wells Inn as we call it and got up early Sat morning to go to the Hogle Zoo(which is where my mom took me when I was one). Aunt Kelly, Shari, Rhandie, Amaya, Jaycee and Sabastian drove with us to the zoo.
       We met Aunt Sam, Jess, Josh, little Adam. at the zoo gate. We loved the gorilla eating paper and the giraffes and lions. Also the big dinosaurs they had in the park. We watched the bird show where Papa got hit in the face with one of the birds wings flying over our head.. We had lunch and went through the reptiles. Brie was a good sport through it all.

       At about 3pm we went to Aunt Linda and Uncle Bobs and the kids were already in the pool. the kids got out and played pirates and found hidden easter eggs and then did a pinata. Brie loved watching all the kids go around while her and Daddy played in the pool. We then watched Brie look at her cake and dip her hands into it and taste it, open gifts which we are so thankful for. She got clothes, shoes, hair flowers, princess dresses, cell phone, and tea set. Its tradition to have your birthday dinner of your choice and my Mom will make it. Brie couldn't really tell us what she wanted so we decided to have roast, potatoes, carrots, beets, green beans squash all out of my Dads garden. Yummy Brie loved every bit, especially because it wasn't baby food. We had left over cake and ice cream and then opened gifts. Brie got clothes, princess books, nike shoes and dress shoes and soft socks like mommys. Thanks to all that came

Can't believe my baby is one, hard to believe I was in the hospital delivering my baby a year ago. She has grown so much she is 30.4 in long and 15.3 lbs which to me seems big but not to everyone else. She has mastered crawling and is walking using your hands or something to walk along. She is getting really good at standing for a long time just doesn't have the courage to go by herself although she has taken 1-2 steps. Brie's personality shows more and more every day. She is such a happy girl and loves to blow kisses and wave bye bye and hi. Also if you tap your cheek she will kiss your cheek and loves to give kisses, especially when Daddy does a fish face. She loves to laugh and loves to read in the tub. She speaks her own language I wish sometimes I knew what she was saying. She has the cutest pouty face and can make tears in an instant boy are we in trouble. On her actual birthday she got lots of phone calls which we loved and she blew kisses when everyone said happy birthday on the phone. Brie woke up at about 930 am which she does regularly thank goodness and goes to bed at 10:30 pm. Before she will close her eyes though she has to have you pat her chest in the crib and she playes w/my fingernails.We played on the bed for a while then got up and ate crepes yummy. Mike and I had only wrapped two gifts we gave her a wobbles set and leap frog that goes on the fridge. She opened her gifts from the Aunt Nicole and Uncle Eric and boys and loved her singing stuffed animals. Then Brie and I went to the store to pick up Auntie some stuff because she had to have her appendix out. She is so tough and such a trooper, we played there a while then went home.
